Rotary Club Donation Helps Fund New Playground at Gonzales Impact School

The BRAINATION Foundation is overjoyed to announce a major fundraising boost for a new playground at Legacy Ranch Kids in Gonzales, Texas. The effort was enriched by a generous donation from the Rotary Club of San Antonio at the Dominion, which was gratefully matched by a grant from District 5840. Together, these contributions have brought the project almost halfway to its funding goal!

BRAINATION CEO, Jennifer Rower, celebrated the partnership:

“The Dominion Rotary Club members are committed to taking action for lasting impact in communities where others are in need. Led by Ron Blank, these Rotarians generously donated their time and money to kick-start fundraising for a dedicated outdoor play area for Legacy Ranch foster care siblings in Gonzales, Texas. In addition, a matching donation from District 5840 was gratefully received. The playground is almost halfway funded! These Rotarians are extraordinary!”

Legacy Ranch Kids provides a safe & therapeutic home for children who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation. As a stable home, its core mission is to offer on-site emotional support and professional counseling. The ultimate goal is to create a safe space where children can heal from their past trauma and build the resilience they need for the future.

This project is one part of a comprehensive support system for the youth at Legacy Ranch. The BRAINATION Foundation ensures each child receives an inspiring and empowering education through its network of schools, which have reimagined what school can be. At schools like Gonzales Impact School, personalized, inquiry-based learning is the driving force. Instead of generalized lessons, this model ignites curiosity, empowering students to actively seek out information and explore their own questions.

This philosophy of seeing every student as a hero on a journey of self-discovery is especially powerful for the children at Legacy Ranch, aligning perfectly with the goal of helping them heal and build a successful, self-sufficient future.

The support from community partners like the Rotary Club of San Antonio at the Dominion and  District 5840 is invaluable. These donations will help bring countless hours of happiness and contribute directly to the well-being of deserving children.
